PlayFab Enhances Game Software

Seattle-based PlayFab, the developer of cloud-based software tools and services aimed at video game developers, said Thursday that it has launched a big set of new features for its software. The company said the upgrades include a new way to configure, launch, monitor, and support live games; a new server-side script feature; and new analytics options. PlayFab said many of the features come thank to a partnership with Cover Fire LLC, which is a consultancy in the free-to-play games area. As part of the partnership, the companies said that Cover Fire's founder, Chris Ko, joins PlayFab's advisory board.
