    PressPlane Takes $1.7M

Seattle-based PressPlane, a new venture from Curious Office Partners, said today that it has raised $1.7M in a Series A funding. The round was led by Second Avenue Partners, and also included angel inestors Mike Salmi, Rich barton, Erik Blackford, Andy Liu, Alex Algard, Geoff Entress, Andy Sack, Adrian Hanauer, John Cunningham, and Dough Rowan. The firm would not disclose what it is working on, but said it is working on a "buy and sell" marketplace similar to prior Curious Office Partners project Imagekind. Curious Office recently sold ImageKind to CafePress. Mike Salmi and Mike Slade have joined the firm's board of directors as part of the funding. According to PressPlane, it currently shares its office with Wishpot.com at 911 Western.
