Microsoft Shows New Search Services

Microsoft rolled out new search services this week, showing its new Windows Live Search Beta services at the O'Reilly Emerging Technologies Conference. The new services are an extension of the company's Windows Live Search, and include new search preview features, smart scrolling, and support for image search, RSS feeds, mail, news, shopping, and local search capability. Microsoft also included a new Windows Live Search Macros beta which lets people customize and share specific queries. The firm also showed a new beta of a Windows Live Toolbar, based on technology from Onfolio, which lets users search from any web page using Windows Live Search.
