Electro Scientific Loses CFO

Portland, Oregon-based Electro Scientific Industries, a manufacturer of photonic and laser systems for the semiconductor industry, said today that its CFO is leaving. ESI said that John Metcalf, the firm's Senior Vice President and Chief Financial Officer will leave the firm effective September 29, 2007. No reason for the departure was given. ESI said it is conducting a search for a new CFO.
