Medio Launches On-Device Portal Product

Seattle-based Medio Systems, which provides software for mobile search and advertising, said today that it has launched a new product targeted at providing access to mobile content for mobile phone users. Medio said its On-Device Portal (ODP) is targeted at mass-market mobile phone users and provides access to real-time news, sport scores, weather, and other information. The firm said the new product is available on T-Mobile USA's t-zones service, and is pre-loaded on Nokia 6263 and Motorola RAZR II phones. Medio is venture backed by Accel Partners, Mohr Davidow Ventures, Frazier Technology Ventures, and Trilogy Equity Partners.
