Redfin: It Was Our Database

Seattle-based real estate website Redfin, in the wake of a widespread outage due to a major upgrade of the service Thursday, said over the weekend that the downtime was due to the firm's database. Redfin said that the high load--caused by the addition of photos and details of recently sold homes--was resolved after tuning the firm's database and deploying additional database. The firm said it might provide more details on the issues in its blog this week.
