Windows Live Switches To WordPress

Microsoft's Windows Live Spaces blogging service is exiting the blogging software market, and has inked a partnership with blog software provider Automattic, the maker of the Wordpress blog software, the firm said today. According to Microsoft's team, it said Wordpress offers a scalable platform and spam protection, along with other features, focused on blogging software. Microsoft said it decided to shift to working with Automattic, rather than have Windows Live invest in a competing blogging service. Financial details behind the partnership were not disclosed.
