Tyfone Lands Patent

Portland-based Tyfone, a developer of mobile payment and banking technology, said yesterday it has received a patent on its mobile electronic wallet technology. Tyfone said it received U.S. Patent 7,828,214, entitled "Mobile phone with electronic transaction card." The patent was originally filed on February 22, 2005, and names the inventors as Siva G. Narenda, Prabhakar Tadepalli, and Thomas N. Spitzer. Narenda is Tyfone's CTO. The firm's patent agent was LeMoine Patent Services.
