Bing Taps Kayak For Travel Search

Bing, Microsoft's search engine, said today that it has linked up with travel search site Kayak, to power flight search results for the search engine. Financial details of the deal were not disclosed, however, Bing said the deal will allow it to provide a "more comprehensive" travel search experience. Bing said the move would allow it to focus its development resources elsewhere. The move is a shift from Microsoft's internal development of travel search features, which it had gained by acquiring Farecast in 2008. Bing did not say how the move will affect its Farecast features and the team working on its travel efforts.
