Opscode Rolls New OpenStack Software

Seattle-based Opscode, the developer of cloud infrastructure automation software, reported today that it has launched a new set of products for deploying OpenStack components. Opscode said the new products, developed in conjunction with Dell and Rackspace, make it easier to deploy and automate software on the open source, cloud computing platform OpenStack. The firm said the new "Chef Cookbooks" for OpenStack make it easier to deploy and automate computing, object storage, virtual machine images, dashboard, and identity of that software. OpenStack is Rackspace's open source, cloud-based software for providing infrastructure-as-a-service (IaaS).
