Itron Ships Four Millionth Meter To Southern California Edison

Liberty Lake-based smart utility meter maker Itron reported that it has shipped its four millionth smart electric meter to Southern California Edison, one of the nation's largest electric utilities. Itron said the meters are being installed to help SCE's customers better manage their electricity usage. Terms of the deal with SCE have not been announced. SCE services central, coastal, and southern California. Southern California Edison is in the midst of upgrading meters in its service area to new smart meters from Itron.
