Front Desk Raises $4M For Mobile Business Management

Seattle-based Front Desk, which develops mobile, software-as-a-service to help small business manage their payment processing and businesses, said this morning that it has raised $4M in a Series A funding. The round was led by FLOODGATE, and also included Second Avenue Partners, Version One Ventures, Rich Barton, as well as others. The company said it has now raised $7.2M in funding, including its angel funding in September. Floodgate's Mike Maples Jr. and Version ONe's Boris Wertz have both joined the company's board. Front Desk is led by Jon Zimmerman. The company's software is particularly aimed at personal services businesses like yoga instructors, personal trainers, tour operators, and others.
