Make.TV Gets $8.5M, Sets Up Offices In Seattle

Make.TV, a developer of cloud-based, live video acquisition software, said Thursday that it has set up an office in Seattle, after raising $8.5M in funding from Voyager Capital, Microsoft Ventures, and Vulcan Capital, along with Arnold Ventures. Voyager's Erik Benson has joined the company's board with the funding. Make.TV's plaform allows online publishers, broadcasters, and others to acquire and curate user-generated and other live video from mobile phones and other devices.
