    WebTrends Ties into Silverpop

Portland, Oregon-based WebTrends, a provider of web analytics software, said Thursday that Silverpop, which provides email services, has integrated its software into its offerings. According to WebTrends, the combined solution will allow marketers to identify their most valuable Web site visitors and automate email communications with them. The deal covers WebTrends' Marketing Lab 2 software, which is used to build a profile of individual web visitors. Using the data from the software, Silverpop will use the information to deliver personalized emails to those visitors. The deal is part of a program from WebTrends called WebTrends Open Exchange, which is the firm's outreach program to third party developers and partners.
