Compiere Gains $6M, But Departs Region

Portland, Oregon-based Compiere, a developer of open source enterprise resource management (ERP) software, has received a $6M venture capital round from New Enterprise Associates, the firm said today. Compiere said that it will use the funding to build out its infrastructure and partner network. However, the firm said that in conjunction with the funding, the company will relocate its headquarters to Silicon Valley. Compiere's applications are used by companies for enterprise resource management and customer relationship management (CRM), and include a point of sale terminal and other ERP functionality such as accounting and e-commerce.
