Microsoft Buys Beam

Seattle-based Microsoft has acquired Seattle-based livestreaming service Beam, Microsoft late late Wednesday evening. Financial terms of the acquisition were not disclosed. Beam becomes part of Microsoft's Xbox division. Beam develops an interactive livestreaming service which lets users play alongside their favorite game streamers, and was led by CEO Matt Salsamendi.
