MicroVision Teams For MEMS Laser Beam Scanning Effort

Redmond-based MicroVision, the provider of ultra-miniature projection displays and sensors, and STMicroelectronics said on Thursday that they would be working together on a laser beam scanning (LBS) system based on MEMS technology. Financial details of the link were not announced. The two said the LBS systems are targeted at the pico projection and heads-up display (HUD) markets, along with virtual and augmented reality, 3D sensing, and Advanced Driver Assistance Systems (ADAS).
