Zillow Dangles $1,000 For Home Loan Shoppers

In a bid to spur interest in the firm's online mortgage marketplace, Zillow said last night that it will be offering up $1,000 Lowe's gift cards, for eligible borrowers who contact lenders through its Zillow Mortgage Marketplace. Zillow said the $1,000 will go to borrowers who fund a qualifying loan by October 29th. Zillow explained that its "Special Offers" program is an attempt to drive consumer awareness of mortgage companies, and was inspired by the success of online coupon sites, and its own initial pilot program.
