IMDb Launches iPhone News App

Seattle-based IMDb, the online information source on movies and TV shows, which is owned by Amazon.com, said today that it has launched a new app for the iPhone and iPod touch. The firm said its new IMDb Buzz app runs on the iPhone and iPod touch, and offers up free entertainment news to users. The company already offers up apps to access its database of movie information and a trivia game. The new IMDb Buzz app includes news on celebrities, TV shows, films, and more; the firm is tapping content from Access Hollywood, indieWire, and The Wrap for powering the app.
