Amazon To Spend $1.16 Billion To Buy Headquarters Campus

Amazon.com revealed late last week in a filing that it plans to spend $1.16 billion to buy the 11 buildings which make up its current corporate campus. Amazon.com's South Lake Union campus is currently owned by Microsoft co-founder Paul Allen. Amazon said the buildings make up 1.8 million square feet, and that it expects to close the purchase by Q4 of this year.
