Amazon Gets 238 Proposals For HQ2

Amazon said today that it has received 238 proposals from cities and regions in 54 states, provides, districts, and territories across North America for its new, second headquarters, Amazon HQ2. The submissions came in after Amazon made a call for proposals for what it says will be its second headquarters in North America, which it says it expects will create as many as 50,000 "high-paying jobs" which will be a "full equal" to its current campus in Seattle. Amazon said it expects to invest over $5 billion in construction to grow the second headquarters location.
