Munchery Aims At Seattle With $28M Funding

San Francisco-based dinner delivery service Munchery said this morning that it has raised $28M in a funding round, and is looking to use those funds to expand its service to Seattle and beyond. The startup--which runs its own kitchens to deliver what it says are "wholesome meals delivered to your door"--is planning to launch in Seattle in early summer, according to the company. The Series B funding was led by new venture firm Sherpa Ventures. Munchery is currently offering 20 percent off to Seattle residents signing up for its service ahead of the launch. The startup's meals are based on a local, organic, and sustainable ingredients from local chefs. More information »
