    PopCap Partners For DRM
    Vancouver, BC-based Yummy Interactive, a provider of digital rights management software, said Monday that Seattle-based PopCap Games has is using the firm's products for game licensing in Asia. PopCap will use Yummy Interactive's GameShield technology within its games. Financial details of the arrangement were not disclosed. PopCap is a publisher of a number of casual games, including Bejeweled.

    Venture Totals Flat, Says Report
    PricewaterhouseCoopers and the National Venture Capital Association released its quarterly venture capital survey over the weekend, saying that there was $7.4B invested in 990 venture deals nationally in the second quarter. The MoneyTree Report from PricewaterhouseCoopers (PwC) and the National Venture Capital Association (NVCA) based on data provided by Thomson Reuters reported that investments were approximately flat from Q1, when there was $7.5B in 977 deals.     AdReady Powers Health Advertising Network
    NaturalPath Media, a health-focused Internet publisher, has launched a self-service display advertising platform powered by Seattle-based Internet advertising software developer AdReady, NaturalPath Media reported Monday. NaturalPath said the service, called AdGuru, will provide green and natural health advertisers with a means of creating and managing their display ad campaigns on NaturalPath's network of 80 health- and lifestyle-oriented Web sites.     Amazon S3 Goes Offline
    Amazon.com's web storage service, Amazon S3, went offline this weekend, taking web sites offline, disrupting image loading at hundreds of web sites and other services. According to Amazon.com's AWS status pages, the service went offline around 9:06AM, due to what the firm described as "elevated error rates" in the system; the company had service restored fully by 5:13PM.     iLike Launches Ad Platform, New Features
    Seattle-based social music service iLike said today that the firm has unveiled a new advertising platform specifically focused on concert promoters, full-length song playback, and a new initiative to syndicate music to third party developers. According to the firm, the new ad platform is focused on helping concert promoters, venue owners, booking agents, and indie bands to reach its music fans.
