Element Power Sells Texas Wind Project

Portland-based Element Power, a private equity backed developer of renewable energy projects, has sold a Texas wind power project to enXco. The firms said this morning that enXco will acquire the Bobcat Bluff Wind Project, located in Archer County, Texas, from Element Power. Financial terms of the buy were not disclosed. The wind project, currently under development, spans approximately 14,000 contiguous acres, is located approximately 20 miles south of Wichita Falls in Archer County, Texas. The project is deploying 150 megawatts of wind turbines, and is expected to open in December of 2012. Element Power is owned by private equity firm Hudson Clean Energy Partners.
