Elemental Technologies Wins Customer In Mongolia

Portland-based video encoding technology developer Elemental Technologies said today that its products have been selected by a Mongolian pay TV operator. According to Elemental, Skymedia--a broadband service provider based all the way in Mongolia, is using its systems for over-the-top television (OTT) and other advanced television services. Financial details of the win were not disclosed. Elemental's systems are used to encode video into multiple formats, using hardware acceleration, which helps support things like live video streaming to any kind of mobile or other portable device.
