Convoy Collects $16M For On Demand Trucking Services

Seattle-based Convoy, a developer of an on-demand marketplace for local and regional trucking services, has raised $16M in a Series A funding, the company said this morning. The funding was led by Greylock Partners. As part of the funding, both Reid Hoffman and Simon Rothman of Greylock will join the company's board. Convoy said it will use the new round to expand its service into Oregon. Convoy helps shippers connect with nearby, local shippers, and lets them track their shipments in real time.
