Liberty Lake-based smart meter manufacturer Itron said Thursday that it has scored a customer win in Australia, with Sydney Water, which the firm says is the country's largest water utility. Financial impact of the win was not announced. Itron said Sydney Water is beginning a three year long installation of its meters. Sydney Water serves more than 4.6 million people in Australia.
